Improve Stripe Metadata to Include Property Identification

Problem / Current Limitation
Currently, iGMS only sends the reservation ID to Stripe as metadata when processing payments. As a result, when viewing transactions in Stripe, hosts must:

1. Manually copy the reservation ID

2. Return to iGMS

3. Search for the reservation

4. Identify which property the payment belongs to

This workflow is inefficient and works against the purpose of automation and quick financial visibility.

For hosts managing multiple properties, Stripe becomes significantly less useful because payments are not identifiable at a glance.

Minimum Requested Improvement (Low Effort, High Impact)
At a minimum, please concatenate the property identifier into the existing Stripe metadata, for example:

reservation_id = 123456 – BeachHouse 

or

reservation_id = 123456 | property_id = BH-01 

This alone would immediately allow hosts to identify the property in Stripe without manual lookup.

Ideal / Expanded Enhancement (Best Practice)
Allow hosts to select which metadata fields are passed to Stripe at time of booking, such as:

• Property ID

• Property short name

• Property full name

• Channel (Airbnb / Vrbo / Booking / Direct)

• Reservation ID

Stripe natively supports key-value metadata, and exposing this would:

• Greatly improve reconciliation

• Reduce manual work

• Improve accounting workflows

• Align iGMS with modern payment automation standards

Why This Matters
Many iGMS users act as the merchant of record (especially with Vrbo + Stripe). Stripe is the primary financial dashboard for these hosts, and lacking basic property identification makes payment tracking unnecessarily difficult.

This is not a Stripe limitation — it is a metadata passthrough limitation.
