I am requesting the addition of a simple but powerful feature that allows managers to see which cleaner marks a task as complete. This feature would provide essential accountability, performance tracking, and operational insights for businesses that rely on a team-based approach to cleaning assignments.
Accountability & Quality Control
In our cleaning workflow, tasks are not explicitly assigned to specific cleaners. Instead, our team divides and conquers based on availability.
If a complaint arises regarding the quality of a cleaning, I currently have no way of determining who was responsible for marking that task as complete.
With this feature, I can address quality concerns with the correct individual, provide feedback, and ensure continuous improvement.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
By tracking who completed each cleaning, I can analyze performance over time.
This allows me to compare efficiency between cleaners and identify trends in quality.
If one cleaner receives more complaints than another, I can address the issue proactively with training or corrective action.
Time Analysis & Optimization
Understanding who marks tasks as complete enables me to review cleaning times and efficiency.
It provides a way to optimize scheduling by recognizing who excels in specific tasks or locations.
Over time, I can see trends such as who works faster or takes more time, helping with fair workload distribution.
Minimal Development Effort, High Impact
From what I can tell, the system currently does not log which user marks a task as complete.
Implementing this feature should be straightforward: simply store the user ID associated with the completion action.
This would be a small technical change but a major functional improvement for tracking and reporting.
While I manage a team that cleans vacation rentals, this need extends beyond my business. Any company using a shared-task approach—whether in hospitality, maintenance, or other service industries—would benefit from this feature. It promotes accountability, enhances reporting, and streamlines performance analysis without disrupting current workflows.
Adding this feature would provide valuable insights into cleaning operations with minimal development effort. It enhances accountability, supports better management decisions, and improves overall service quality. I strongly urge its implementation, as it would benefit not only my business but many others with similar workflows.
