alert me of failed message sends

I repeatedly see that messages did not send. One example is that Booking.com and VRBO may fail to send if there is a URL in the message. Other examples are just environmental or imdb issues. Any time a single message fails to send, I should be alerted in some way. Quiet failing is the worst situation we can have.
