I am in Canada, and the vast majority of my guests are in Canada. Especially given the recent hostilities from the US towards Canada, many Canadians actively seek to avoid US-based companies.
When the check-in form defaults the country to United States, not only is this one extra thing that a guest needs to click and correct to fill in the form, it risks inflaming customers and potentially creates the impression that the company is owned by Americans, risking losing business.
Please allow me to set the default country in the check-in form.
