Availability Window: don't open the dates that were blocked by the host manually

IGMS’s platform has an important flaw in that it automatically opens up availability and this availability can only be closed manually. Currently IGMS has a 12 month availability window which means that you can close off dates within the next 12 months, but the availability window is programmed so that as each day passes it automatically opens all dates 365 days away and those dates can only be blocked manually through the calendar. The programming of the availability window needs to be updated so that so dates which are blocked off by a host remain blocked and only open up when the host makes them available. This is an issue for us because guests have booked our property more than 12 months in advance and we do not want those bookings because they limit our flexibility and are costly to cancel. We are paying IGMS to have an automated platform for our booking calendar, we do not want to pay for a service which requires us to constantly close dates manually. This issue has come up multiple times over the past few months and we have flagged this issue to live support and the development team and neither of them could fix this issue.
