Date alterations of Direct-Booking Reservations on Checkout Day

If a guest decides to extend their stay last minute before checkout, it is impossible to actually alter the dates of the original reservation, the only way to do that is to create a new reservation for the requested date extension. Seems simple, hopefully that is something that can be fixed/ implemented quickly.
