Turn off auto review before guest checks out

IGMS updated their system and made it so that I can ONLY turn off auto review AFTER airbnb requests for a review. It didn’t used to be like that.

That is a flaw especially in comparison to how it used to be.

I should at any point be able to turn off auto review.

Let’s say a guest is an asshole even before they check on, I should be able to turn off their auto review (like I used to) right then… rather than my having to give myself a task to remember to turn it off in the future.

Make sense?

    I’ve attempted multiple times to disable auto-reviews due to guest-related issues and have repeatedly been unable to do so. According to the platform, I should be able to disable an auto-review after guest checkout, but in practice this has not worked.

    Most recently, a guest left the property in horrible condition. I attempted to disable the auto-review within one hour of checkout via the mobile app and was unable to. It’s unclear whether I missed a narrow window between checkout and publication (I only have a one-day delay set), but regardless, the inability to immediately disable an auto-review when needed is a CRITICAL MISSING FEATURE.

    I can’t always be available during a short pre-publication window. There are scenarios like property damage, reimbursement claims, or negative interactions before or during a stay where DISABLING AUTO REVIEW ON DEMAND SHOULD BE POSSIBLE FOR A SPECIFIC GUEST, without strict timing constraints.

    I do not want to increase my review delay globally, as for the majority of positive stays I want reviews to post quickly to encourage guest reviews in return. This NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP.

    Whos brilliant idea is it to make this change to the auto review system? 😅 So often after receiving a message from them complainers I just want to leave them a 1 star review immediately. Butnow I have to set myself a reminder to do it after they check out and before the auto template review leaves them a 5 star review !

    Shows Reviews Before Check-Out Date

    Currently, auto-reviews can only be sent or disabled after the booking is finished. Otherwise, they don’t appear in the “Auto-Reviews by Host” list until their check-out date. But this means that reviews cannot be disabled until the booking is finished.

    It would be best to allow these reviews to be disabled at any time during the booking, instead of waiting until it’s over.
